Change…

has it been a that long? wow…

i like logged in and like the wordpress interface is like really updated. i kinda like it. it is cool (meaning mellow or relaxed) with a web 2.0 feel. i really don’t like only that the dashboard is really all encompassing. it may sound weird to say it (seeing as i am pretty new) but i was used to the other one, so it is just… different.. i don’t really know.

what has happened. well i have been playing a lot of Lost Odyssey sence i posted my first Impressions and so far (and i am SOO FAR) it definatly lived past the hype. all the complaining about originality, plot and game play, were all for naught. the story has a few common plot elements especially in the JRPG genre but it definatly stands on its own. and as for gameplay (most especially the combat) call me old fasioned but i like the turnbased fighting. and the rings add interactivity to standard attacks so it is better.

i had a few complaints in my last entry on the subject and in retrospect they weren’t justified. i found the dreams to be one of the highlights of the gameplay, revealing a depth that simply is unable to attain with out the writen word. the were moving, powerful, informative, and entertaining. i pity those who rushed through the game skipping them. and for the camera thing… well a thrid person thing would have been better… i was able to get used to it so it no longer bothers me.

i was a little shocked playing through that the game was moving so fast, i mean i flew through the first 2 disks like nothing then the third was pretty fast too. but i was pleased to find that with all the alternate stuff to do in disk 4 that there has been more than 70hrs of playtime for me… of course i like to take things pretty slow, (getting every item, talking to every person, killing every boss) so i still have the backyard, the seeds and the grandstaff to do, but still this is the first game that took me 40+ in a long time, so i am happy with it(stupid 10 hr action shooters).

well let’s see. i am going to The Ukraine, in july… ya that’s new. i get to learn russian so it is all good. (i would say why i am going to Ukraine but i don’t wanna…)

i think it is time to get back to Lost Odyssey
